This Division is composed of the Decommissioning Section and the Environmental Surveillance Section. The Decommissioning Section was created in 1999 and organizationally was located in the Bureau Director's office. The Decommissioning and Environmental Surveillance Division was formed in 2002 by combining the Decommissioning Section with the existing Environmental Surveillance Section that was previously part of the Radiation Control Division. The Division reports to the Bureau Director's office.
