Soldier's Grove serves as a backdrop for the fountain Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Dennis O'Brien at the podium during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month kickoff ceremonyLt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll could not attend the cermony marking 2008's Breast Cancer Awareness Month as she was hospitalized with neuroendocrine cancer, cancer of the interface between the endocrine (hormonal) and the nervous systems. Lt. Gov. Knoll succumbed to cancer on November 12, 2008.
