Worm Bedding |
|
|
The worm bedding is the most important part of setting up the worm bin. The bedding helps to keep the worms moist and allows the food scraps to be buried to prevent odors. This worm bin is bedded with shredded newspaper and a small amount of peat moss. Using newspaper is a great way to recycle, plus the worms enjoy the comics. Worms are naturally litter dwellers and live in decaying vegetation or fallen leaves. Other suggestions for bedding are shredded computer paper or cardboard, composted animal manure, or leaf compost. |
