This report represents the combined efforts of many individuals from not only the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, but also from other government agencies, academia and industry. Chapter authors graciously donated their time and knowledge to this effort. In addition to the authors of each chapter, many individuals worked on the preparation and editing of this report. Tim Kania and Scott Barnes of the Bureau of District Mining Operations assisted with technical review and editing.
