Citizens Advisory Council
The Citizens Advisory Council met on September 19 and discussed the Departments' proposed rule and the comments received so far:
Combined
There was a joint meeting of the Air Quality Technical Advisory Committee, Citizens Advisory Council, and Mercury Rule Workgroup on August 31, 2006 in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA. At the meeting, the Department presented a preliminary summary of the public comments and outlined concepts for a final mercury rule.

Environmental Quality Board (DEP)
The Environmental Quality Board has approved the rule for public hearing. The proposed rule can be accessed here.

PennFuture Petition
On August 9, 2004, Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture) filed a petition with the Environmental Quality Board on behalf of various organizations “requesting action to reduce the high emissions of mercury to the air from Pennsylvania’s electric utilities.” Information related to the Petition and the Department’s response follow.

EPA's Clean Air Mercury Rule
