Statewide Municipal Waste Composition Study

The April 2003 Waste Composition Study offers the results of waste sorts completed in 2001-2002 that determine the proportions of material generated within Pennsylvania. The results reflect waste generated from commercial and residential sources, in all six regions of the state, from urban, suburban and rural areas.
