Weaving rag rugs began after the American revolution as a way
to provide floor coverings using available materials. Combining
function with thrift, the weaver created a durable carpet for
early homesteads.
For twenty-five years Rebecca Francis has been a part of this
weaving tradition where simplicity and utility speak as clearly
today as yesterday.
