Provides property owners with insurance coverage if they
are located within coal mining regions of Pennsylvania. Property owners can use online systems
at www.paMSI.org to check
for local mine conditions, submit MSI coverage applications or they can call
800-922-1678 to speak to a program representative. Major premium rate
reductions of more than 25% took effect on January 1, 2009, that make the
inexpensive coverage even more affordable. The premium for the average policy
value of $130,000 is now only $7 a month for residential coverage and $14 a
