The data displayed in the following table is the drilling commence date or "spud date" reported by the operator to the oil & gas inspector for the County.  This information is compiled on a weekly basis.  It is posted to this page by the following Monday.   Reporting in this manner began  November 1, 1998. Reports are available as a monthly record along with an annual summary of wells permitted by County and by Operator.  The SPUD date is the reported date drilling began at a well site. The API number is the drilling permit number issued to the well operator. The current year reports is immediately below. Prior year Spud and Permit Issued data are under the previous "Rig Report-Year".
