In 1997, DEP's regional offices successfully launched a series of industry sector initiatives designed to promote pollution prevention and energy efficiency in selected industries throughout Pennsylvania with the help of trade associations, by forming regional partnerships and by ensuring the continued cooperation of our corporate partners through regional roundtables. DEP's intent is to "grow" these industry-sector initiatives regionally, then expand these networks and their best practices across the Commonwealth in 1998.
