Hall/Westfield, Inc. located in Westfield, PA, an employee owned company specializing in high quality vegetable tanned leathers.recently participated in a P2E2 site visit. The Westfield Tannery was founded in 1867 and has under gone numerous changes since then including the consolidation of the tanning business with a Leather Cutter the E.H. Hall Company. Hall Westfield, Inc currently produces leather that is used in footwear, apparel, sporting goods, equestrian and other industries. During the site visit, DEP was impressed to learn about the development of new products, and an investigation of composting as a beneficial and profitable waste management strategy. Appearing in the picture, from left to right is the site visit team: John Carson, Office of Air Quality Management, Bill Foreman, OETD Specialist, Jim Young, OETD Regional Manager, Keith Kraus, Hall/Westfield Quality Manager. Richard Illig, Environmental Protection Specialist, participated in the visit and was operating the camera.
