The DEP Environmental Emergency Response Program will only accept elemental mercury from private citizens, schools and non-profit organizations. Requests for information on mercury disposal or recycling from a business or for-profit organization shall be referred to the Regional Hazardous Waste Coordinator. Requests from private citizens, schools and non-profit organizations shall be directed to the Regional Environmental Emergency Response Program.
