September 25, 1999 10a.m. - 4p.m. Mercury and Pesticide Collection P3ERIE, DEP and the PA Dept. of Agriculture will be conducting a mercury and pesticide collection at two locations in Erie County. The collection sites are: * 1565 E. Lake Road, Erie (across from International Paper) * Waterford Fairgrounds (Route 19-South of Waterford) There is no charge for the collection. Items accepted are pesticides or mercury containing items. Pesticides include insect killers, weed killers, rat poison and fungicides. Mercury containing items include jars of mercury, thermometers, thermostats, switches and button batteries. Please bring leaking pesticide containers and all mercury items in a sealed plastic bag or secure container. Pesticides will be accepted from the public and businesses. Mercury will be accepted from the public only.
