Growing Greener Grants
These grants are offered to applicants to improve
the general health and well-being in all spheres of Pennsylvania's
environment; this includes areas such as to preserve farmland
and protect open space; eliminate the maintenance backlog in State
Parks; clean up abandoned mines and restore watersheds; and provide
new and upgraded water and sewer systems.

Pollution Prevention/Energy-Efficiency Site Assessment
Grants
to fund pollution prevention and energy efficiency site assessments
for small businesses. This program is ongoing.

Small Business Pollution Prevention Assistance Account (PPAA)
Loan Program
PPAA provides low interest loans to small businesses
undertaking projects (located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania)
that reduce waste, pollution, or energy use. Loans will be used
to fund 75 percent of the total eligible project cost, up to a
maximum of $100,000. Small businesses with 100 or fewer full-time
employees are eligible. The loan interest rate is 2% and has a
maximum term of 10 years. This funding can help small businesses
comply with environmental regulations while receiving the economic
benefits of preventing pollution and using energy more efficiently.

- Green
Communities
The Enterprise Foundation announces Green Communities, a new five-year
initiative that will offer financing, grants and technical assistance
to build more than 8,500 environmentally friendly, affordable
homes across the country. The Enterprise Foundation Green
Communities initiative has been launced in partnership with the
Natural Resource Defense Council, the American Institute of Architects,
the American Planning Association and leading corporate, financial
and philanthropic organizations. For more information on
