Administrative Items
Chairperson, Nick Mobilia, began the meeting.

Minutes: A motion was made by Dave Wright and seconded by George Greig to accept the minutes from the February meeting. Motion passed unanimously.

Statewide Committee Meeting Summary: Matt Wolford presented a brief summary of the statewide committee meeting. He mentioned that statewide meeting will be held bi-monthly due to the extent of duties and also that the critical water planning areas had been a common subject of interest for other regional committees.

DEP Summary of Activities: Lori Mohr explained a summary of the DEP activities, status of the registration and also explained about the three subcommittees.

Public Participation Update: Tom Fuhrman explained about his attendance in public outreach subcommittee and "what and how to do outreach". He distributed a DEP fact sheet about Act 220.

Updates on PCPG Act 220 Symposium: Bill Gough presented a brief summary of the symposium. He handed out a list of the speakers' names and the symposium agenda. He mentioned that 230 persons attended the symposium and it was a success.

Great Lakes Restoration
Lori Boughton opened her presentation with Great Lake Water Quality Agreement of 1972 between US and Canada and briefly explained the history of cleaning effort, comprehensive management plan, and priorities of the project from different counsels. She also talked about budget and importance of the Great Lakes Restoration project. She explained the share and PA leadership in this complex project; Lori distributed a hand out of the project.

Lake Erie Region Conservancy, Rivers Conservation Plan Development
Tom Fuhrman explained the Lake Erie Region Conservancy DCNR project and emphasized on public participation. He explained about public outreach, public understanding survey, water, biological, and archaeological issues in this project.

Chester County "Watersheds", Plan Development
Mark Maimone from CDM explained the Chester County water budget project. He provided the committee with the finding, roadblocks, and the entire process of this project. He covered fundamental planning principals, steps, data categories, organization process, automated water balance, GIS coverage, problem identification, analysis, prioritization, strategies, policies, approaches, general planning conclusions, sustainability, sustainability measures, public involvement, decision making tools and conclusions. Mark presentation was nicely prepared and right to the point.

Committee Structure Proposal
Lori Mohr explained again about committee structure proposal and the three common sub committees in other regions. The decision about the Great Lake subcommittees and subcommittee members was postponed to near future.

August Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for August 10, 2004, in Potter County. More info will be distributed by the chair. The meeting adjourned at 3:00 PM.
