Confined Space Level I &II

 

One of the biggest dangers faced by Pennsylvania workers in the water/wastewater industry is confined spaces. Each year workers and rescuers continue to die in confined space accidents. In fact, you may be subject to OSHA regulations (depending on circumstances). Confined Spaces include (but are not limited to) areas such as sewers, storm sewers, manholes, meter pits, wet wells, tanks, digesters, chemical silo, and pump stations. hazards faced by workers who enter or work near confined spaces include (but are not limited to);

  • Atmospheric Hazards

  • Entrapment or Engulfmant

  • Falls

  • Electrical Hazards

  • Mechanical Hazards

  • Drowning

  • Chemical Hazards

  • Biological Hazards

  • Traffic Hazards
