Changes in Proposed Chapter 250

Since October 14, 1999 Meeting

[250.1] All definitions except "agricultural usage" have been deleted. This change is reflective of DEP change toward solid waste interface policy which has not yet been finalized.

[250.304] References to asbestos MSC in soils have been removed. This change is as per last CSSAB meeting discussion-- there will be no soil asbestos MSC. Instead guidance will direct the remediator to perform onsite air monitoring if asbestos containing materials are present at the site.

[250.308] Reference to determining when saturated soils exist will be deleted. This will be addressed in guidance.

[250.308] Reference to "soil/waste" specifications on when the soil-to-groundwater equation can be applied was deleted (original wording now applies). This is reflective of DEP policy toward solid waste interface.
