The Northeast Regional Stormwater Management Manual Focus Group meeting, originally scheduled for February 28, 2005, at the DEP Northeast Regional Office, Wilkes Barre, PA, was cancelled due to inclement weather. The meeting has been rescheduled and will take place as follows:

The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has convened regional focus groups across Pennsylvania to assist the Department and a statewide oversight committee in reviewing and developing a Pennsylvania Stormwater Best Management Practices Manual. The manual will support the implementation of federal and state water quality programs, emphasizing innovative best management practices that encourage on-site stormwater management and increased groundwater infiltration as a means to minimize stormwater discharges and limit the amount of surface pollutants entering Pennsylvania's streams. Members of the regional focus groups were asked to review the manual for its applicability, develop comments, and provide recommendations to the Department. The input provided by the regional focus groups will ensure that the contents of the manual, including recommended approaches, methodologies and best management practices are regionally sensitive and applicable.
