Free Brook Trout Items!

The Brook Trout is Pennsylvania's state fish and only native trout. One thousand, five hundred stream miles in Pennsylvania have the potential to sustain populations of wild brook trout. More than half of these stream miles support healthy populations that depend on clean water. This clean water can hold more oxygen for the trout if the water is cooler. This is why streamside or "riparian" forest buffers and the shade they offer are so important. Learn more about other reasons why streamside forests are important.
