P2E2 Goes To School.

DEP and the Pennsylvania Center for Environmental Education are gearing up to mail more than 6,000 Earth Day packets to students, educators, libraries and other organizations. All packets will contain an Earth Day message from Gov. Tom Ridge and the 1997 Earth Day poster, bookmark and magnet. PCEE members -- DCNR, the Department of Education, the State System of Higher Education, the Pennsylvania Alliance for Environmental Education, the Fish & Boat and Game commissions and the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts -- are contributing materials about trees, acid rain, water pollution and information on building nesting boxes.
