Changes in The FPR:

Modifications in this 2003 edition of the Food Processing Residual Management Manual include:

1. Conversion of the manual to a digital format suitable for posting on the WEB

2. Incorporation of a Pennsylvania map illustrating the geographic distribution of food processors in the state (SIC code 20xx)

3. Revision of the manual page-layout format to facilitate WEB display

4. Revision of agency and elected/appointed official names to current status

5. Revision of select references to appropriate regulatory statutes

6. Clarification of language which previous users found to be unclear

7. Incorporation of revised land application guidelines to be consistent with municipal wastewater biosolids land application standards

8. Adding agricultural irrigation recycling of FPR wastewater as an acceptable land application method without permit (currently FPR manual requires a permit), when conducted in accordance with allowable guidelines.
