At the February 21, 1996 meeting
of the Agricultural Advisory Board to the Department of Environmental
Protection, the Board members reviewed a draft of the Agricultural
Composting Supplement to the Manure Management Manual. The Board
members voted unanimously to accept the Composting Supplement
as written and recommend its referral to the Department for review
and inclusion into the Manure Management Manual. This supplement
provides an excellent guide to members of the agricultural community
who may want to use composting as an alternative manure management
option.
