Dear Secretary Seif:

On behalf of the Agricultural Advisory Board, I would like to again thank you for your attendance and the insightful comments you provided at the Board’s August 28 meeting. At that meeting I provided you a copy of the Board’s proposal to stagger the terms of the nine producer members so that not all nine producer appointments expire at the same time. I would like to remind you that on October 6, 1996 the three-year terms of the nine producer members of the Board are set to expire. All have agreed to continue to serve on the Board until reappointed or replaced. I urge you to give the Board’s proposal your thoughtful consideration so that we may continue the effective work of this Board.
