Call to order
Because the number of Board members present did not constitute a quorum, no official business could be conducted. It was decided to present the agenda items for the benefit of those members in attendance, but to defer any action until the full Board was present.
Approval of the minutes of the February, April, and June, 2000 meetings was deferred.
Bill Pounds described the draft Safe Fill regulatory package that will be presented to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee meeting on March 8, 2000, and to the EQB at its August 2001 meeting.
Tom Fidler discussed the draft final amendments to Chapter 250.
Dave Hess presented the changes to the Technical Guidance Manual that have been proposed since the Board last reviewed the revised manual in February , 1999.
Tom Fidler mentioned that he would like the Board to take a more detailed look at the vapor intrusion issue that was presented by the Department at the June 22, 2000 meeting, and to suggest ways that the Department might revisit this issue. Craig Robertson reported that Annette Guiseppi-Elie had suggested a workgroup be formed to address this issue and volunteered to assist. Kevin Reinert was also mentioned as one to assist. Tom Fidler offered the services of the Department’s GTAC contractor. Further action was tabled until a quorum was present.
